This is Page 9 of Kokin kousei, Shinsen zeni kagami (Corrected Against Past and Current Records, A New Selected Mirror of Cash Coins).

An earlier owner penciled some roman letters beside the Japanese, but a few on this page are incorrect. In column 2 down three he/she has written "RIN" but the character is "monme." The whole notation for that coin says "about 3 monme, " which was an amount of silver worth about 300 one-mon coins. In column 3 item two appears "RIN" and this is correct. However, item 3 below it has written "SEN." This is a mistake and should be read "fun" meaning one tenth of a monme. Sen appear first in the Meiji period (1868-1910) and did not exist in the Edo period when this book was made.

Because each page file is a large JPG (around 200K each) I have made a separate web page for each of the10 pages of the book. Use this bar to navigate to the page you want. Use the cover image in the green rectangle to navigate to the top page.
